With the influence of social media and e mail I believe coupons will eventually be just a memory of sitting at the kitchen table with mom as a child. Our lives are too busy, and coupons just create waste with excessive paper use. I do have a quick story told by my hairdresser. She signed onto groupon (I don’t even know if it still exists), and was told by one of her groupon clients that they would never get her hair service regularly. If it wasn’t for the groupon she never would have been there. I found that to be really insulting to my stylist and career choice. I am sure some people who do the one time coupon, do come back. In this case though, it was just rude and my stylist did not renew with groupon. Hers was not the only case where businesses complained about this type of thing. You cannot rely your business solely on coupon users either.
