Awarding Method:

Student essays e-mailed to us will be shown to the public on the website. Users of the site will read and vote on the essay that best answers the question. After the top 10 essays are selected by the public, determines the final winner. has the authorization to determine which essays get published, based on their appropriate nature.

If you are a high school student planning on graduating in 2014 and who will be going to any U.S. school of higher education or vocational training institution during the 2014-15 school year, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship.


A check of $1,000 will be written to the winner and the college to be attended by the winner by the Scholarship Committee. Funds from the $1,000 Scholarship are applicable toward books and/or tuition.


The deadline for submitting this scholarship is December 31, 2014.


Applicants must e-mail a written essay of a minimum of 650 words.


The $1,000 Scholarship will be awarded in the name of the winner and the college he/she is planning on attending. It can be used toward college tuition and/or books.
