Pura Vida Anchor Wrap Bracelet in Blue Multi/Silver, available at Bloomingdale’s (image source)
Donate to a Cause with: Pura Vida Bracelets
In an effort to provide fair trade jobs to artisans in Costa Rica, Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman created a brand called Pura Vida after a five week trip to the country. Pura Vida, which means “pure life” in Spanish, took off in no time. The friends hired two Costa Rican men to make 400 bracelets for them to sell at California boutique. They sold out almost immediately. Soon, Thall and Goodman decided to expand their business, helping more people, and even launching a Charity Collection. In 2013 alone, Pura Vida donated over $140,000 to more than 190 organizations. That’s not even including their membership with 1% of the Planet, where they donate to more than 40 environmental non-profits. These bracelets are available at Bloomingdale’s – check imin.com for a coupon code before you shop so you can save a few bucks off of your purchase.
