These packages are offered for groups of up to eight people. If your group is larger than eight, please contact us for optional arrangements. Those traveling together with different interests can request a more personalized package.

All packages include daily surf instruction, morning yoga sessions in a private studio with views of the jungle and beach, three deliciously-balanced daily meals prepared with fresh, local produce and fish, a one -hour massage or reiki session. ( booked thru LUX World Travel will grant you an extra Reiki session) , a deep sea fishing outing, a daytrip to a nearby Montezuma waterfalls, and accommodations in a beautiful, authentic Costa Rican house just footsteps away from the beach.

SURFING: Surfing is a unique experience that can be considered both an art form and an athletic pursuit. It is a lifestyle and a great recreational activity that is not only a lot of fun but also promotes physical fitness, great health, alleviates and relieves stress. Caught up in fast-paced lives of the new millennium, surfing is the ultimate way to get back into touch with nature. Surfing requires that you focus on the moment and as a result, all the stress from that Fast-paced life is left on land.

ACCOMMODATIONS: The house is surrounded by a lush garden that is perfectly suited for your daily siestas; however, if you choose to walk one minute down the private beach access, you can have your siesta underneath a palm tree while also watching the others having fun in the waves.

Lucero Surf Retreats is located on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast on the Nicoya Peninsula. The blooming village of Santa Teresa is situated in the middle of Costa Rica's surfing mecca. What was once just five years ago a dirt road and a few small hostels is now brimming with international tourists and worldwide wave-chasers. If a nightlife scene appeals to you, Santa Teresa can stay up as late as you want it to. We will be happy to tell you all about it and show you around. Mal Pais offers a little competition and is only a 5-minute ride away should you prefer variety.

This retreat is about fun in the sun. We expect you to want to spend most of your free time out and about exploring the secrets of the Nicoya Peninsula. But you’d probably also want to chill. Lucero Surf Retreats is about an authentic Costa Rican experience. Feel free to take advantage of our laid-back style. Siestas are particularly encouraged, as we are quite fond of them ourselves. Because of that philosophy, plenty of hammocks are available, and you’ll get used to the howler monkeys eventually.

Located in the heart of Santa Teresa, home to Costa Rica’s blossoming art scene, this is truly a tropical paradise. Just 300 feet from the island’s pristine Pacific beaches in a private and awe-inspiring natural setting sits Lucero, a beautiful 3000 sq foot modern rustic house also known as the dance studio, built in the traditional Costa Rican style, utilizing local materials and lumber.
With five bedrooms accommodating up to two guests each, a private yoga studio – unique to Costa Rican retreat packages, and a hammock to call your own. Our backdoors open to a lush, private garden - the perfect place for your afternoon siesta, as well as a lovely “tranquillo” area for enjoying your organic and locally grown breakfast, lunch and dinner – al fresco style!

YOGA PROGRAM: No trip to Costa Rica would be complete without the morning sun on your face and a relaxing yoga session. We offer our own private studio, so daily yoga sessions are included in your package. The purpose of these sessions is to not only relax you but also prepare your body for all the physical challenges of surfing. We seek to build your core strength, increase flexibility, and open your mind to new possibilities. By the end of the week, you'll understand why yoga and surfing go together so well. For those that would like private instruction, we will happily arrange a one-on-one with our certified yoga instructor.

So you're in Costa Rica. You're surrounded by a lush rainforest. The lapping waves of Santa Teresa's pristine beaches await your attention. Perfect for beginners to those with more intermediate skills, our surf instructors have chased waves all over the world and know exactly how to teach you the skills of catching a wave in a safe and fun way. If you have no experience with surfing, no problem, there's no better place in the world to learn. To do so, your program will provide you with personalized instruction every day. We operate such that you have the freedom to choose just how much you improve. Unlike other surf camps, we prefer to keep it small - in doing so, we keep the attention on personalized service during the surf
classes.
