Led by an eager team of Alaskan Huskies, feel the rush of fresh mountain air and the excitement of sled dogs pursuing their favorite activity. Tours are 2 hours long, which includes an introduction to the kennel and the sport and a hands-on lesson on how to hitch and harness a dog team. Yes, this is the lodge owned by THE Trapp family made famous in "The Sound of Music". The oldest cross country ski center in North America features 55 km of groomed trails that are interconnected to the Stowe Mountain Resort, Topnotch and Edson Hill ski touring centers, making a trail network of 140 km groomed trails and another 100 km of back country trails. The center has a complete retail store with accessories, clothing and equipment, a repair shop, a ski school and ski rentals.
