Play all day and then soak in the hot tub under the starry winter sky. Start your winter sampler with a starlight dog sled ride. Spend a day shredding the slopes at Stowe Ski Resort or take to the trails on cross country skis. Visit the Trapp Family Lodge, the oldest cross country ski center in North America, owned by the Von Trapp family made famous in the movie "The Sound of Music", there are endless trails groomed for your skiing pleasure. Ski three miles and meet up for a lunch at a backcountry hut, where you can warm your toes by the fire while you warm your belly with some hot soup. This is a wonderful winter getaway for skiers of all ages and ski abilities.
